Abuja - Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has expressed satisfaction with the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, stating that he is proud to be associated with the President’s developmental strides.

Wike made the remarks on Saturday during an inspection tour of ongoing infrastructure projects across Abuja, including the Outer Southern Expressway (OSEX) Phase II leading to Wassa and the Gishiri Interchange.

According to the FCT Minister, Tinubu’s administration has begun delivering tangible results through the Renewed Hope Agenda, particularly in the provision of what he termed “first-class infrastructure” within the capital city.

“Leadership is critical. When the right person is in charge, the people benefit,” Wike said. “Mr. President has demonstrated a commitment to transformation and to improving the lives of Nigerians. The Renewed Hope Agenda is not just a slogan; it’s working.”

Wike went on to affirm his confidence in Tinubu’s leadership: “I am happy to be identified with the leadership of Mr. President, and this is exactly the kind of leadership Nigeria needs. Anyone who claims the President hasn’t delivered is either blind or simply unwilling to acknowledge progress.”

He added that the improvements in Abuja's infrastructure are evident for all to see and thanked God for what he described as “the right leadership at the right time.”

Looking ahead to Tinubu’s second year in office, Wike announced that several key projects are set to be commissioned over a two-week period. Among them are the Gishiri Interchange, OSEX to Wassa Junction, the newly completed Abuja International Conference Centre, and the expansive Greater Abuja Water Supply Project.

“The list is extensive,” Wike noted. “From roads in satellite towns to key city arteries, we’re gearing up for a busy inauguration season. Projects like the N5 road by Julius Berger and many others will be unveiled to mark the President’s second year in office.”

Wike’s comments come amid growing anticipation for the administration’s second anniversary, with stakeholders watching closely to assess the progress made since the Tinubu-led government took office.
