New York, USA — Trust Rihanna to redefine a red carpet moment—again. The Bajan billionaire and global fashion force chose the 2025 Met Gala to unveil her third pregnancy in classic Rih style: bold, unexpected, and unforgettable.

Walking in with an unmistakable glow and a visible baby bump wrapped in a custom Marc Jacobs ensemble, Rihanna made her entrance one of the most talked-about moments of the night. Her look? A sharply tailored statement piece that nodded to the Gala’s theme, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” while embracing her journey into motherhood—again.

The corseted top hugged her figure, paired with a cropped tuxedo jacket and a sweeping skirt fashioned like an oversized suit coat, its sleeves tied casually at the waist. A maroon polka-dot tie, floppy hat, and sleek pointed-toe heels completed the ensemble, along with standout jewelry from Belperron and Vendura.

Her partner and Met Gala co-chair A$AP Rocky confirmed the baby news shortly after on the red carpet. “It feels amazing,” he told the Associated Press. “It’s time that we show the people what we was cooking up. And I’m glad everybody’s happy for us ’cause we definitely happy, you know.”

The pair, who have been together since 2020, already share two sons—RZA, 2, and Riot, 1. This latest reveal adds another chapter to Rihanna’s growing legacy of memorable pregnancy announcements, from Harlem photo shoots to a now-iconic Super Bowl halftime show.

Earlier this year, the music and beauty mogul graced the cover of Harper’s Bazaar, opening up about her evolving relationship with fashion post-motherhood.

“Getting dressed is a fight on its own now,” Rihanna admitted. “Everything is logical. What’s easy? What’s fast? But now, I’m starting to have fun again… My fashion has always been driven by mood—and my mood was on mom mode for a minute.”

This year’s Met Gala theme paid homage to Black dandyism and the power of tailoring in shaping diasporic Black identities, drawing inspiration from scholar Monica L. Miller’s 2009 book, Slaves to Fashion. Rihanna’s look—and her headline-making moment—fit right in with that ethos: a fearless expression of self, culture, and power.
