Los Angeles
– A man accused of crashing his car into the front gate of a Bel-Air mansion tied to Hollywood actress Jennifer Aniston is now facing serious legal consequences.

Los Angeles authorities confirmed on Wednesday that 59-year-old Jimmy Wayne Carwyle has been charged with two felony counts: stalking and vandalism, with prosecutors citing an “aggravating circumstance of the threat of great bodily harm.”

The incident occurred around 12:20 p.m. Tuesday when Carwyle allegedly drove his vehicle through the secured gate of the upscale residence. LAPD officials told WafricNews that a private security guard on-site detained the suspect until police arrived. Sources familiar with the investigation say Aniston was home at the time, though she was not harmed.

The L.A. District Attorney’s office says the accused had allegedly harassed the “Friends” star over a two-year period, between 2023 and 2025, by bombarding her with unsolicited voicemails, emails, and social media messages.

Carwyle’s arraignment is scheduled for Thursday at a downtown Los Angeles courthouse. Prosecutors are expected to request a $150,000 bail. If convicted, he could face up to three years in state prison.

“This case shows how stalking can quickly escalate into dangerous behavior,” said L.A. District Attorney Nathan Hochman in a statement. “We are committed to holding individuals accountable who terrorize others through targeted harassment.”

Authorities said the crash caused “substantial damage” to the property’s front gate. Carwyle remains in custody, and no legal representation has yet been listed in public court records.

Jennifer Aniston’s team has not yet issued a public comment.
