Lagos – Afrobeats powerhouse Kizz Daniel has returned with a brand-new EP titled Uncle K (Lemon Chase), a 7-track project that showcases his evolving artistry, rich collaborations, and signature sound that has kept him at the top of the charts for over a decade.
Originally slated for release in November 2024, the EP was delayed due to a personal loss suffered by the artist. Now finally released, Uncle K arrives as both a celebration and a reflection, blending vibrant party anthems with heartfelt moments that pay tribute to loved ones he’s lost.
The project features an impressive lineup of collaborators across the Afrobeats spectrum and beyond, including Odumodublvck, Bella Shmurda, Phyno, Runtown, Fola, Angelique Kidjo, and Johnny Drille—an intentional move from the artist who recently declared a desire to embrace more collaborations after years of dominating solo.
Tracks on Uncle K range from club-ready bangers to culturally rooted sounds that honour his heritage, with Kizz Daniel effortlessly merging commercial appeal and authentic storytelling. Fans can expect infectious melodies, memorable hooks, and a matured sound that speaks to his decade-long reign in the industry.
The new EP follows the success of his 2024 release TZA, which birthed hits like “Twe Twe” and “Showa.” Uncle K also doubles as a part of Kizz Daniel’s Vado at 10 celebration—marking ten years since he broke into the mainstream with his breakout single “Woju.”
Since that landmark debut, Kizz Daniel has built an enviable catalogue with critically acclaimed projects such as No Bad Songs and Barnabas. He’s also responsible for the global smash “Buga,” a track that sparked viral dance challenges across continents and firmly stamped his influence on the global Afrobeats movement.
With Uncle K, Kizz Daniel once again proves that he's not just riding the Afrobeats wave—he's helping shape its direction.
