The stage is set for Broadway’s biggest night as the 2025 Tony Award nominations were officially unveiled, and it's a star-studded affair. From Hollywood heavyweights to rising theatrical talents, this year’s list is packed with household names and bold productions that have electrified the stage.

Among the most nominated productions are “Buena Vista Social Club,” “Death Becomes Her,” and “Maybe Happy Ending”, each earning 10 nominations. Close behind with seven nominations apiece are “Dead Outlaw,” “John Proctor is the Villain,” “Sunset Blvd.” and “The Hills of California.”

In a major moment for the film-to-stage crossover, George Clooney scored his first-ever Tony nod in the Best Leading Actor in a Play category for his role in “Good Night, and Good Luck,” where he portrays the legendary journalist Edward R. Murrow. Clooney’s competition includes Daniel Dae Kim (Yellow Face), Cole Escola (Oh, Mary!), Jon Michael Hill and Harry Lennix (both from Purpose), and Louis McCartney (Stranger Things: The First Shadow).

On the women’s side, the Best Leading Actress in a Play race is fierce. First-time nominees Sarah Snook (The Picture of Dorian Gray), Sadie Sink (John Proctor is the Villain), and Mia Farrow (The Roommate) go head-to-head with stage powerhouses Laura Donnelly (The Hills of California) and LaTanya Richardson Jackson (Purpose).

The awards ceremony will be hosted by Cynthia Erivo on June 8, promising an evening of glamour, celebration, and standout performances.
